The aim of Allergy UK Our is to raise the profile of allergy at all levels, with a vision for everyone affected by allergy to receive the best possible care and support. They have a dedicated helpline to provide those affected with help and support and they offer a dietitian service for parents of children aged 0-5 (and haven’t received dietitian support). On their website, you can sign up to their allergy alerts, where you can receive messages or emails when products have been withdrawn or recalled if there is a risk to customers. Please visit their website to browse their online resources and helpful information.

The Anaphylaxis Campaign is a UK wide charity focused on supporting those at risk of severe allergies. They have been providing information and support to patients and their families for over 25 years. Their aim is to create a safe environment for all people with allergies by working with and educating the food industry, schools, pre-schools, colleges, health professionals and other key audiences. Their focus is on medical facts, food labelling, risk reduction and allergen management. On their website, you can find useful information on the top 14 allergens, symptoms of anaphylaxis as well as guidance on how to live with this medical condition.

Coeliac UK is the charity for people who need to live without gluten. For over 50 years they’ve been helping people with coeliac disease and other gluten related conditions live happier, healthier lives. They do this by striving for better gluten free food in more places, providing independent, trustworthy advice and support to the community, and funding crucial research to not only manage the impacts of gluten, but also find the answers to coeliac disease. On their website, you will find a wealth of articles and resources that provide people affected by coeliac disease, or other gluten-related conditions, with the information they need to navigate their condition.

The charity’s vision is to make allergy history. The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation wants to prevent and eradicate allergic disease, starting with food allergy, creating a world that is safe for all individuals. Their mission is to bring about positive change by focusing on medical research, law and policies, educating and raising allergy awareness. The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation was founded at the end of 2018, 2 years after the death of Natasha Ednan-Laperouse, who died from eating sesame seeds that were baked into the dough of a baguette. Natasha’s family worked tirelessly on the implementation of Natasha’s law, which started following her inquest in September 2018 when her family were first made aware of the legal loophole in the food law that meant prepackaged foods made and sold on the same premises didn’t have to list their ingredients. Natasha’s Law came into effect on the 1st of October 2021.

The Sadie Bristow Foundation aims to continue Sadie’s legacy by inspiring more children like her to take up sports and through improving allergy education. Following Sadie’s tragic death, The Sadie Bristow Foundation has been founded to continue Sadie’s legacy by inspiring children to participate in sports and discover their true talents through our Tennis in Schools Programme. They also aim to improve access to specialist allergy nurses and spread knowledge about allergy awareness. Visit their website to learn more about the charity and their inspiring work.
