The Natural & Organic Products Europe show is the perfect platform for showcasing new products from all over the world that are looking for a chunk of the UK market... So it's not surprising that sometimes you come across an amazing freefrom product, and are just fantasising about how it might change the eating habits of SO many freefrom people when your eyes fall upon the dark green sign on the far wall: 'LOOKING FOR DISTRIBUTION'...

Here is a selection of those excellent products that need UK distribution!


From Italy, Cicioni, was developed by former architect turned chef Daniela Cicioni, and is made with fermented, blended nuts to make a soft, granular perfectly yeasty-tasting organic, milk-free cheese alternative.



From the Czech Republic, Markol combine tomatoes with herbs, spices, cashews and buckwheat to make an intensely flavoured savoury gluten-free, milk-free, vegan raw bar for the snacking sector.


A very simple but excellent idea from Italy's Probios, Spalmolio is made with just olive oil and cocoa butter... A spreadable and very convincing milk-free alternative to butter, this is part of the GO vegan! range, which includes vegan wheat and vegan spelt croissants. Probios' Panito range of bread and pizza products includes snacks like yeast, gluten, egg & milk-free grissini.


Rice UP! from Bulgaria make crunchy brown rice cakes, rice rolls, organic rice chips and chocolate coated rice cakes. The savoury offer is supplemented with nutritious seeeds and grains, and flavoured with ingredients such as cheese, mushroms, olive oil, onions and chili. Products are variously gluten-free and vegan.


Wilmersburger's slices, wedges and pizza shreds are a vegan, milk-free alternative to cheese made from coconut oil. Made in Germany, the range also includes plant-based alternatives to meat cold cuts and sausages. And they make a ravioli filled with their milk-free cheese!


All the way from South Africa, we bring you Herbivore! – showcasing the raw power of plants – and their ranges of crunchy organic gluten-free buckwheat super cereals and sprouted buckwheat power porridge... These products contain no added sugar and are suitable for vegans, just in case the company name didnt't make it clear! They also make broccoli bites and kale chips.

Happy Benjamino

Quite possibly the most melt-in-the-mouth vegan chocolate I've ever tasted, and in the most outrageous of flavour combinations (see picture), Happy Benjamino comes from Germany and is made by Rocao...


Belvas make organic fairtrade chocolates in a range of varieties including gluten-free and no added sugar. This Belgian chocolatier also make chocolate bars with no added sugar, vegan, low glycaemic, lactose-free, and raw.

Fody Food Co

From the USA, Fody, The Low FODMAP Food Co has several ranges of foods for those going onto a low FODMAP diet. These include sauces & marinades, kitchen basics and gluten-free, lactose-free snacks. For more info about FODMAP foods, see Allergy Insight's recent blog.

Chao Slices
Artisan, vegan company Field Roast make Chao Slices from coconut and seasoned with fermented tofu - plus other herbs and spices for a range of milk-free alternatives to cheese that also melt...
Celebrate Health

Australia's Celebrate Health creates ranges of gluten-free, low fructose, peanut-free, milk-free, soy-free, no added sugar, GMO-free and where possible allergen-free and organic. Including quinoa meals, sauces, lentil meals, baked beans, ketchup, cereals and many more...

Luv Sum

Also from Australia, LuvSum make gluten-free protein balls in a vast range of flavours including cherry chocolate, blueberry cashew and lemon cashew chia - some of their range are also milk-free and date-free...

Hey Yum

Hey Yum from Denmark make organic sweets, some sweetened with honey, some vegan, lactose and gluten-free, in very pretty little characters such as elves, butterflies, owls, rabbits, dinosaurs and more.


Tofurky from the USA whose products are already available in the UK have just launched a range of vegan readymade sandwiches, which should be. With combinations such as ham & cheese, tempeh 'bacon, lettuce and tomato and buffalo chick'n, the vegan range will provide a great meat-free, milk-free, egg-free alternative to the lunchtime offer.

Green Vie Foods

Green Vie Foods from Cyprus make vegan alternatives to cheese that are soya-free, gluten-free, palm oil-free, nut-free, as well as a range of gourmet deli products such as stuffed olives, mushrooms, and peppers.

OoomegaOoomega is a 100% plant-based flax drink from the Netherlands that is milk-free, soya-free, lactose-free, gluten-free, peanuts-free, nuts-free, as well as GMO-free and cholesterol-free.

Petras from Romania make own label and their own brand of gluten-free, organic pasta - with red lentils, mung beans, chickpeas, flaxseeds and buckwheat - and nothing else except water.

Nature Fruit Bars

Corn 'n Roll from Greece make sweet fruit bars and savoury bars from Mediterranean flavours such as tomato & goat's cheese and fig as well as chia seeds and chocolate - gluten-free, soya-free, some are also lactose-free and made with no added sugar.

Laiki Crackers

From San Francisco Bay Area, Laiki rice crackers are allergen-free and made with simply rice, oil, salt and nothing else, as is clearly listed on the front of the pack!
