Thai Tuk-Tuks & Turmeric, 'a fragrant carrot soup fused with coconut, lime leaves, lemongrass, noisy markets and crazy tuk-tuks' is a lovely smooth soup with strong turmeric, ginger and lemongrass flavours, a perfectly pleasant soup, although we'd like more "noise" please! The coconut gives it a sumptuous creamy texture and taste, and the ginger gives a delightful little catch in the throat.

San Antonio Fiesta, 'a hearty chilli sin carne soup with tomato, four bean mix, basmati rice and a pinch of peering at colourful floats parading past' looks very hearty indeed, and has a very strong smoky aroma with a super-hot chilli and cumin kick, but we felt it lacked a depth of flavour. Even though it includes plenty of tasty ingredients like coriander, chocolate, tomatoes and onions, the mouth-flavours rather need a fuller body.
