Debbie & Andrews Caramelised Red Onion Pork Sausage
Debbie & Andrews, who created the Harrogate 97% gluten free pork sausage, have now launched a new gluten, wheat and dairy free sausage - Caramelised Red Onion Pork Sausage. We're delighted to say that these sausages deliver exactly as they state on pack - a tasty, sweet and fine textured pork sausage run through with pepper and herbs. The red onion is caramelised in balsamic vinegar, giving a nice, rich, sticky goo to the outside of the sausages, and they cooked in the time given on pack (you may or may not be surprised to learn that in our experience, many foods take a significantly longer or shorter time to cook than recommended on pack!). The pork skins are thicker than standard, and we thought these sausages could benefit from a little more herbs and seasoning, but our 7 year old taster said they were very nice, 'just like the ones we have at school'!
Ingredients: Pork (75%), Caramelised Balsamic Red Onion (18%) (Red Onion, Muscovado Sugar, Balsamic Vinegar, Rapeseed Oil), Gluten Free Breadcrumb (Rice Flour, Gram Flour, Maize Starch, Salt, Dextrose), Demerara Sugar, Parsley, Sea Salt, Sage, Garlic Puree, Stabilisers: Triphosphates; Nutmeg, Black Pepper, Preservative: Sodium Metabisulphite; Antioxidant: Ascorbic Acid. Filled into Natural Pork Casings.
