
Every year Hallowe’en starts earlier and is more enthusiastically celebrated, but for those with food allergies 31st October is a date which can spook in all the wrong ways. This award is for all those fun and safe products out there and we look forward to welcoming them to our Free From Halloween Award.
Whether for Trick or Treating, throwing a party or all cosied up at home our judges want to see all your Hallowe’en-appropriate products entered!
To qualify for entry to the Free From Hallowe’en Award, all entries

- must be free from at least one of the top 14 UK-listed major allergens with no precautionary allergen labelling for the allergen/s specified in the free from claim*
- must be commercially available nationwide in the run up to and during Hallowe’en 2025, i.e. sold through independent retailers, online or a multiple retailer.
- must be available to buy from a valid UK website (except for in-store only retailers).
*e.g. product cannot claim to be gluten free and have a ‘may contain’ warning for gluten.

Key dates:
- Entry opens 28th July 2025
- Entry closes 19th September 2025
- Judging takes place 27/28th September 2025
- Medal winners announced 1st October on Instagram

The Results Process
Once the judging sessions are finished and results are in, the results will be announced at our Hallowe’en Award Presentation on October 1st, to allow entrants to make the most of their wins on packaging, in social media and on websites in the run up to Hallowe’en. Details will be emailed to entrants and posted here nearer the time.
