Foods Matter Free-from Food Awards

Awards - Categories - 2009


Categories 1-9 will have been included in a dedicated tasting.

For categories 10-12 we will pull out the best wheat-free, egg-free and nut-free products from tastings we have done over the lat year.

The innovation category will include any new product which featured in Foods Matter between June 2008 and April 2009.

The overall winner will be drawn from the winners of all the categories above.

We will award a winner and two commended/highly commended’s in each category.

The winner’s products will be featured at the Allergy & Gluten-free Show in June.

Categories:

1. Dairy (cow’s milk) free 'milk’ and yogurt

2. Dairy (cow’s milk) free
butter, spread and cheese

3. Dairy and/or gluten-free ice cream, puddings and     desserts

4. Dairy and/or gluten-free chocolate, confectionery and     cereal bars

5. Gluten-free
breads and bread mixes

6. Gluten-free
pastas, pizzas and pizza bases

7. Gluten-free pies, flans and savoury sauces

8. Gluten-free
cakes, muffins and sweet biscuits

9. Gluten-free
savoury biscuits and snacks

10. Nut-free
in all the tastings

11. Christmas foods


12. Breakfast cereals


13.  Innovation award


14. Overall winner

 

The presentation of the awards will take place in Allergy week in May 2009.
